    Meta has introduced a new AI image generation called 3D Gen that can quickly convert text user requests into high-quality 3D graphic models in less than a minute. The system can also apparently add new textures and skins to the generated images. Meta’s AI research team has stated that 3D Gen not only displays high-resolution 3D images to users, but also supports physically based rendering (PBR) capabilities and texture mapping. The average inference time for creating initial 3D models with 3D Gen is just 30 seconds, allowing users to modify the texture or replace it with something new. Despite being in development, 3D Gen has the potential for applications in special effects for films and games, as well as in virtual reality. Creating 3D content is usually time-consuming, but tools like 3D Gen can significantly speed up the process.
